No Android Pie out of the box

Galaxy M10 runs on Samsung Experience UI v9.5 based on Android Oreo. Samsung has said it will receive updates in the coming days. The latest One UI which is based on Android Pie offers more functionality. It is not a good idea to buy a phone in 2019 which is not running on the latest Android OS.

Lack of fingerprint scanner

Samsung Galaxy M10 does not comes with fingerprint scanner. However, face unlock option is there. Having said that,  face unlock is not as fast as or as accurate as that of fingerprint scanner.

Dated SoC

This smartphone is powered by  Exynos 7870 1.6GHz octa-core SoC. This SoC first we saw in Galaxy J7(2016). This is launched around 2 and half year ago. I am not saying here that, it is a bad SoC. But technically not as superior as that current generation SoC.

Limited internal storage

The base variant of Galaxy M10 comes with 16GB of internal storage. The device comes with lot of bloatware as well which you can not uninstall. Though there is a support for dedicated microSD card, we feel 16GB of internal storage in 2019 is less.

Slow charging

Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30 comes with fast charging support and fast charger comes in the box. But Galaxy M10 does not supports fast charging. Hence charging time on the device is comparatively more.
